Our FREE local guided cycle tours are designed for beginners or those who used to cycle and are looking to get back on their bikes. At 20, 30 or 40 miles, these rides are designed to get you outdoors, exercising and enjoy exploring the stunning countryside, quaint villages and quiet country lanes around Essex and Suffolk. All on pre-planned routes, with an experienced cycle tour guide and in the company of other like-minded people. Road bikes, E-bikes and mountain bikes are perfectly suitable for these rides, as we will be cycling for pleasure, not speed. We go at the pace of the slowest rider and never leave anyone behind.
All our rides depart from and arrive back at The Northern Gateway, Colchester. Free parking is available.
Our focus is on taking novice cyclists, or people who used to cycle, and get them back out on their bikes. Starting with a series of free shorter guided cycle rides through stunning, quiet Essex & Suffolk countryside (20, 30 & 40 miles). This is to get you comfortable, confident and inspired. You can stick to only doing the free, shorter guided tours, or hopefully, this will give you the encouragement and confidence to, over time, build fitness and stamina to move onto our more challenging 50, 70 & 90 mile guided cycle tours. With the ultimate aim of completing our 5 day Three Chester Cycle Challenge - cycling with a guide from Colchester to Manchester, whilst also raising money for a charity of your choice.
